Week 62

This week we had great success in helping a family make tamales to raise money for their marriage. It was a lot of fun being able to help them.  They all had fun in preparing the activity and directing the work.  They will be married this month and as soon as they are married, D. and her son B. are planning on being baptized.

We also had good attendance in sacrament meeting with 90 people.  We are anxious to see the success with these families we are visiting as they continue in the gospel.

The investigators are doing well.  One, who hadn't attended in two months attended today.  We have been very blessed in having plenty of willing investigators to teach and help.

Week 61

This week has been better.  We were able to work more and more effectively.  With the temple trip done, the mission work has received more support.  We have been working with families who are getting married soon.  This Friday, we will be helping a family with their activity to raise money to get married by making and selling tamales.  They are an incredible family who have worked very hard to be able to take this great step in their lives.

This week we had the privilege to hear President Nelson in addition to other leaders from a satellite broadcast from Tegucigalpa, Honduras.  His words were very helpful in reminding us why we are here as missionaries and how to help others come unto Christ to receive salvation and blessings for themselves and their families.

Week 60

Hey everyone!

This week has been a busy one.  We both got sick again, but now are almost 100%  I had to buy an antibiotic, which you can buy without a prescription here in Honduras.  It's nice not being sick anymore haha, especially after a month of being sick.

This week we found a new sister from the reference of the M family.  Her husband died five years ago.  Ever since, she's been in deep depression but wants to change and live a normal life through the gospel of Jesus Christ to be happy again. She accepted the challenge to be baptized and is reading and praying.

The families which we have been working with have been progressing in the gospel and are finding the strength through their faith to change their lives little by little.  Some of these families will be baptized finally in September. We are excited because we are finally going to help these people receive the ordinance of baptism which will help them in their path to a spiritual conversion.

More stories to come!

Week 59

Hola a todos!

This week has been a little difficult for many of the families and people whom we are visiting, but the faith that they show in facing their trials is always inspiring.  In just a couple of weeks, some investigators will be married and then baptized.  We are excited to be here to guide them through these necessary steps for their spiritual conversion.  We have been enjoying the nature and fruit here.  More updates in the next week to come!

Week 58

Hey everyone!

This week has been good! Well, good except for being sick the whole week.  We are continuing with the same families towards their marriage and baptism. Many families have been faced with problems and criticisms recently but are pressing forward with faith.  It inspires me to hear their stories and witness them continue forward.  The Gospel of Jesus Christ has a unique power that gives people the strength and the reason to change themselves and their lives. It teaches us that our choices do matter.  It gives us the hope that we can change.  It gives us the promise that we can live with God one day with our families.  As we learn to live these teachings, we see changes in our lives and blessings.  We are very blessed to help these people and families find the key to true happiness in their lives. More updates to come!

Week 57

This week was a little discouraging because we had some investigators who lost interest.  The good news is that we continue to meet people who are interested in hearing the gospel.
